The Sukhothai Shanghai is exquisitely curated in a setting that contemporary meets Thai-inspired. This is the first Sukhothai outside Thailand, a favorite among the local royal and celebrities, located at the intersection of Wei Hai Road and Shi Men Road, which opened on April 28, 2018. The boutique hotel offers 201 luxurious rooms and suites in a minimalist yet luxurious design. The same concept has been extended to and reflected in all the F&B outlets.
A clean, organic-shaped stainless steel cooking suite, picked for the Italian restaurant ‘La Scala’, strikes the balance between fantasy and function and brings the kitchen to life. The Urban Café, a three-meal restaurant, serving in a traditional Asian dish-sharing fashion, is a new creative to the local culinary stage.
Respecting the modern minimalistic approach, all the F&B equipment is installed and hidden in a discreet way: the induction unit and bottle cooler are visible on and under the counter in the bar. Cold and cluttered stainless steel fabricated is hidden under the marble countertop and inside the timber cabinet so the tactile warmth of the vibe is not surpassed. Cross-check of measurement between the Interior design and stainless steel fabrication worked to a few millimeters tolerance in order to blend the stainless steel fabrication in joinery with seamless boundaries.
It’s now taking the kitchen project to a new level of not just pleasing the kitchen consultant, the chef, and the hotel operation but respecting the interior design appeal through installation.
